Spring Is Here

April 28th, 2013

Spring is here.
Spring is here.
The flowers, the trees,
The birds and the bees.
Spring is here.
Spring is here.
Everything is in bloom.
The grass is green.
The air is clean.
The birds are singing the song.
A warm, spring day.
All I can say,
I wait for spring all year long.
Spring is here.
Spring is here.
The flowers, the trees,
The birds and the bees.
Spring is here.
Spring is here.
Everything is in bloom.
Pretty flowers.
Everything is in bloom.
Birds and bees.
Everything is in bloom.

Old Mother Hubbard

April 25th, 2013

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard
To give her poor dog a bone.
But when she got there
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor dog had none.

She went to the Baker's
To buy him some bread
When she came back
The poor Dog was dead

She took a clean dish
To get him him some tripe
When she came back
He was smoking his pipe.

She went to the Alehouse
To get him some beer
When she came back
The Dog sat in a chair.

She went to the Tavern
For White Wine and Red
When she came back
The Dog stood on his head.

She went to the Fruiterer's
To buy him some fruit
When she came back
He was playing the Flute.

She went to the Taylor's
To buy him a Coat
When she came back
He was riding a Goat.

She went to the Hatter's
To buy him a hat
When she came back
He was feeding the Cat

She went to the Barbers
To buy him a wig
When she came back
He was dancing a Jig.

She went to the Cobbler's
To buy him some Shoes
When she came back
He was reading the news.

She went to the Sempstress
To buy him some linen
When she came back
The Dog was spinning.

She went to the Hosier's
To buy him some hose
When she came back
He was drest in his clothes.

The Dame made a Courtesy
The Dog made a Bow
The Dame said your Servant
The Dog said Bow –Wow.

Little Snowflake

March 16th, 2013

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,
falling, falling, falling, falling…falling on my head.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,
falling, falling, falling, falling…falling on my nose.

Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Little snowflake falling from the sky.
Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake.
Falling, falling, falling, falling, falling,
falling, falling, falling, falling…falling in my hand.

Falling on my head.
Falling on my nose.
Falling in my hand.

Look Outside

March 15th, 2013

Look outside
Spring is here!
Let's take off hats, scarf and gloves,
For the snow has melted,
It's starting to get warm
Look outside for spring is here!

Look outside
Summer's here!
Let's take off our big warm coats.
For the sun is shining,
It's very very hot.
Look outside for summer's here!

Look outside
Autumn's here!
Let's put on our coats again
For the sun has gone,
It's windy and wet.
Look outside for autumns here!

Look outside
Winter's here!
Let's put on hats, scarves and gloves,
The snow is falling,
It's icy and cold.
Look outside for winter's here!

The Lollipop Tree

February 27th, 2013

One fine day in early spring,
I played a funny trick.
In the yard behind our house,
I planted a lollipop stick.

Then every day I watered it well,
And watched it carefully.
I hoped one day that stick would grow
To be a lollipop tree.

Then one day I woke to find
A very lovely sight.
A tree all full of lollipops
Had grown in during the night!

Well, I sat beneath that wonderful tree,
And looked up with a grin.
And when I opened up my mouth
A lollipop dropped right in!
